The M2M2 Professional Doctorate programme
Our innovative Professional Doctorate programme, originally designed for NATO, requires candidates to develop a doctoral topic and thesis relevant to their organisation’s mission. We subsequently added a Professional Doctorate by Portfolio. These three-phase studies help shape new ideas and pathways, and many have high potential to initiate and lead long-term change.
Phase 1
Consists of modules taught to prepare candidates for doctoral research.
Phase 2
Involves focused project work that produces professional and academic outputs.
Phase 3
Candidates join a partner university to write their thesis or collate a formal doctoral portfolio.

M2M2’s Professional Doctorate programme enables candidates completing the qualification to:

Make informed judgements on complex issues in specialist fields, often in the absence of complete data.

Continue to undertake pure and / or applied research and development at an advanced level, contributing substantially to the development of new techniques, ideas or approaches.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
This ‘top-up’ programme offers a clear pathway to achieving a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
To complete the MBA, learners work with M2M2 to gain ILM Level 7 credits in leadership and management topics such as people management, marketing and finance, strategic and operations management, managing innovation and managing change. They then access our partner university’s Advanced Entry (Top-Up) Route to complete more credits to qualify for the university’s award of MBA, for which they receive a certificate in 'Master of Business Administration'.

This MBA top-up is fully aligned with our Level 7 in Leadership and Management.
